NEoteRIC 5th plenary meeting took place in Jerusalem on 1st of December. We enjoyed Teramount unique hospitality in this magnificant city. In that meeting, we put together all the outstanding work performed so far by the consortium. We were able to see that the project is progressing stably towards the preparation of the first packaged photonic FPGAs. Significant results on low-loss BTO phase shifters integration on silicon, memristive devices for non-volatile optical weighting and on event-based sensing for cytometry applications have been presented as well. The live demonstration of the Photonic plug, which will significantly reduce insertion losses and the swiftness of the connection between the Photonic Chip and the Fibre array, was impressive! We are looking forward to meeting again in Thessalonica, in July 2023, and see the upcoming results.
